AhlanHamad × Zoho Books
Finalize a payroll run in AhlanHamad and it reaches your Zoho Books organisation as one summarised journal, mapped once to your own chart of accounts.
Zoho Books is in early access: we switch it on for one company at a time, on request, and help you set it up. It isn't open to every company yet.

- Where it stands
- Built, and tested end to end with a real Zoho Books organisation in the zoho.ae data centre: journals posted, a held journal released once its account was mapped, and the reversal of a deleted run. It has not posted to a customer's Zoho Books organisation yet.
- What you need
- A Zoho Books organisation, and a company admin in AhlanHamad to connect it and map the accounts.
What it does
- Payroll accrual: when a run is finalized, one journal with a line per account — salaries and allowances, employer social insurance, and the payables they create — created and then published.
- Salary payment and bank charges: when the run is marked paid, a payment journal follows; recorded bank transfer charges get their own journal.
- End of service: each month's end-of-service accrual posts as its own journal.
- Your Zoho data centre: you choose it when you connect — zoho.com, zoho.sa, zoho.ae, zoho.eu, zoho.in, zoho.com.au, zoho.jp or zohocloud.ca — and every call goes to that data centre.
- Other currencies: a run in a currency other than your Zoho base currency is held unless you allow conversion. Then it is converted at AhlanHamad's daily rate, and the rate used is written on the journal.
- Corrections are new journals, never edits: when a payroll entry is reversed in AhlanHamad, for example when a run is deleted, the reversal posts as its own journal.
How it works
- Connect Zoho Books from Integrations in AhlanHamad, choosing your Zoho data centre.
- Load your chart of accounts and map each payroll account to a Zoho Books account, once. A journal is held until every account it uses is mapped.
- Run payroll as usual. The payroll run page shows each journal's status, and why one is held or failed.
Step-by-step setup guide: connect Zoho Books, map your accounts and check your first payroll
What it doesn't do
- No per-employee entries. Names, IDs and individual salaries stay in AhlanHamad; Zoho Books receives totals per account.
- It creates journals only: no employees, payslips or invoices in Zoho Books, and no government filings.
Questions
Does it work with Zoho's Saudi and UAE data centres?
Yes. You pick zoho.sa or zoho.ae when you connect, and sign-in and every call then go to that data centre. Our end-to-end test ran in zoho.ae; zoho.sa has not been tried yet.
Does Zoho Books see each employee's salary?
No. Each journal has one line per payroll account with the run's total for that account. Individual pay stays in AhlanHamad.
Can my company use it now?
Yes, in early access. We switch Zoho Books on for your company and help you connect it and check the first results. It isn't open to every company yet.
