Early access
AhlanHamad × QuickBooks Online
Finalize a payroll run in AhlanHamad and it reaches your QuickBooks Online books as one summarised journal entry, mapped once to your own chart of accounts. Your accountant stops re-keying payroll.
QuickBooks Online is in early access: we switch it on for one company at a time, on request, and help you set it up. It isn't open to every company yet.

- Where it stands
- Built, and tested end to end with an Intuit sandbox company: journals posted, a retry, and the reversal of a deleted run. It has not posted to a production QuickBooks company yet.
- What you need
- A QuickBooks Online company, and a company admin in AhlanHamad to connect it and map the accounts. Connect with your own QuickBooks developer app — our setup guide walks you through it, from Development keys for a test company to Production keys for your live one.
What it does
- Payroll accrual: when a run is finalized, one journal entry with a line per account — salaries and allowances, employer social insurance, and the payables they create.
- Salary payment: when the run is marked paid, a second journal clears net salaries payable against the bank account you mapped. Bank transfer charges, when recorded, get their own journal.
- End of service: each month's end-of-service accrual posts as its own journal, expense against provision.
- Other currencies: a run in a currency other than your QuickBooks home currency is held unless you allow conversion. Then it is converted at AhlanHamad's daily rate, and the rate used is written on the journal.
- No duplicates on retry: each journal carries a fixed request ID and reference number, and before posting we check whether QuickBooks already has it.
- Corrections are new journals, never edits: when a payroll entry is reversed in AhlanHamad, for example when a run is deleted, the reversal posts as its own journal.
How it works
- Connect your QuickBooks Online company from Integrations in AhlanHamad.
- Load your chart of accounts and map each payroll account to a QuickBooks account, once. A journal is held until every account it uses is mapped.
- Run payroll as usual. The payroll run page shows each journal's status, and why one is held or failed.
Step-by-step setup guide: connect QuickBooks Online, map your accounts and check your first payroll
What it doesn't do
- No per-employee entries. Names, IDs and individual salaries stay in AhlanHamad; QuickBooks receives totals per account.
- It doesn't use QuickBooks multicurrency: journals post in your home currency.
- QuickBooks Online keeps two decimals, so amounts in three-decimal currencies (KWD, BHD, OMR) are rounded, with any remainder put on the largest line.
- It creates journal entries only: no employees, payslips or invoices in QuickBooks, and no government filings.
Questions
Does QuickBooks see each employee's salary?
No. Each journal has one line per payroll account with the run's total for that account. Individual pay stays in AhlanHamad.
Can I try it on a sandbox company first?
Yes. Connect your own Intuit app with its Development keys and an Intuit sandbox company first; when you're ready, switch to its Production keys and your live company.
What if an account isn't mapped?
The journal waits and the run page says why. Nothing is posted to a guessed account.
Can my company use it now?
Yes, in early access. We switch QuickBooks Online on for your company and help you connect it and check the first results. It isn't open to every company yet.
