AhlanHamad × Dynamics 365 Business Central
Finalize a payroll run in AhlanHamad and it reaches your Business Central company as one summarised general journal, posted in a journal batch kept for payroll and mapped once to your own G/L accounts.

- Where it stands
- Built, and tested only against a simulated Business Central API. It hasn't posted to a real Business Central environment yet.
- What you need
- Business Central online, your own Microsoft Entra app registered in Business Central by your admin (the setup guide shows the steps), a general journal batch kept for AhlanHamad, and a company admin in AhlanHamad.
What it does
- Payroll accrual: when a run is finalized, one general journal with a line per account — salaries and allowances, employer social insurance, and the payables they create.
- Salary payment and bank charges: when the run is marked paid, a payment journal follows; recorded bank transfer charges get their own journal.
- End of service: each month's end-of-service accrual posts as its own journal.
- Your own journal batch: lines go into the batch you pick, then the batch is posted. A batch holding anyone else's lines is refused rather than posted.
- Local currency: journals are posted in the company's local currency. A run in another currency is held unless you allow conversion at AhlanHamad's daily rate.
- Corrections are new journals, never edits: when a payroll entry is reversed in AhlanHamad, for example when a run is deleted, the reversal posts as its own journal.
How it works
- Register your own Microsoft Entra app, add it in Business Central, and connect it from Integrations in AhlanHamad.
- Pick the Business Central company and journal batch, then map each payroll account to a G/L account, once.
- Run payroll as usual. The payroll run page shows each journal's status, and why one is held or failed.
What it doesn't do
- No per-employee entries. Names, IDs and individual salaries stay in AhlanHamad; Business Central receives totals per account.
- No dimensions (such as departments or projects) are sent, and nothing is read back from Business Central except your accounts, companies and journal batches.
- It is not the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations connector, which connects and reads accounts only.
Questions
Does Business Central see each employee's salary?
No. Each journal has one line per payroll account with the run's total for that account. Individual pay stays in AhlanHamad.
Can the batch have a number series?
Use a batch without one. AhlanHamad writes its own document number on every line so it can find the journal again, and with a number series Business Central expects the series' next number instead.
When will it be available?
